Boutique School Photography | MAC Play School Portraits

Portland, Oregon

School pictures are instant memories.  They not only mark a point in academic time but they capture a personal time – a reminder of who you were and a glimmer of who you will become.  This Spring, I had the pleasure to photograph the Multnomah Athletic Club’s new Play School for children ages 2-4.  The students, staff and parents were a joy to work with and, as you can see, many memories were made.

Thank you parents and students for a great couple of days!  To stay connected with my most recent work and announcements, come on over to my facebook page and become a fan.  I will post family session dates + times starting in July-September, as these sessions are limited to the warm, sunny Portland months.

10 on 10 | April

Portland, Oregon

April marks that Spring has arrived in the NW.  So looking forward to all the colors + outside moments we get to have now that the sun it out for a bit longer in the evening. This month’s 10 on 10 was mid-week. Wednesday is always a good day because you are half way to the weekend!  Please follow our group with the talented  Jordan Parks up next.

Getting ready for a session working on lighting & background fades.

Our new grass in the back yard is coming up green.

Anders can do this for hours.  Anything with wheels on it, the boys are fascinated by.

I try to get them to hug & love on my old friends, but that’s something you just can’t fake.

Teaching monochromatic color schemes with an object they can’t forget to bring.

Spring has sprung.

Gus up high.

This is all my boys want to do when we get home.  For hours.  And I can’t tell you how wonderful it is on a day like this to watch them outside so happy.

Snack time.

Happy hour time.

Next up on the 10 on 10: the fun & talented Jordan Parks :

Caroline - Love these shots! I can’t wait for the weather to warm up in Chicago! It’s STILL gray and rainy here. Ugh. OK…how is that wine??? I have seen it before, but not tried it!

April 15, 2013 - 7:18 am

Audrey Amaro - My girls have a few of my old dolls, but now I’m thinking, where the hell did my cabbage patch kids go, I had a few of those as well! Will have to go on a search.
Happy Hour time looks very much the same in my house, groceries are hardly put away before I’m busting out the wine ;)

April 15, 2013 - 7:49 am

Jordan Parks - Oh Suzanne, these are wonderful! Your background fade rocks. And what is it with the dishwasher? Finn does that the second I open it. Love seeing your students at work. Such a talent! We should totally drink that wine together.

Rachel Bond - Oh Ethan loves the dishwasher – he tries to climb in it though! We can’t do the dishes when he’s awake :) Great shots of your day – I especially love the pretty bloom picture!

Sara - My son Connor use to push the dishwasher try in and out non-stop while I cooked, too cute. These are fab, I’m so jealous of your nice weather and green grass. My old cabbage patch kid made an appearance in one of my shots too :)
